There are people the idea that pregnant female must do to satisfy any food cravings during pregnancy. This leads to an increase in the normal diet of 1,000 calories (a normal diet for a woman in no-load is 2000 calories / day), while the caloric requirements for the developing fetus during pregnancy increased by only 300 calories day. So an increase of 300 cal / day (2000 +300 = 2300) is sufficient to a normal intake of 2000 cal / day.

It is a bad idea implemented in the nation. This leads to weight gain over 15-20 pounds during pregnancy, and many women who are pregnant or already gave birth, say "but how I gained so much?". The answer is that, by a substantial increase in unjustified consumption of food "in order to make all desires", for normal requirements grow only 300 cal / day. It is therefore recommended to make smart choices and healthy.

A healthy diet contributes greatly to the success of pregnancy. It reduces complications and the baby's normal development. Therefore, during pregnancy, caloric needs of the future mothers grow by 5-10% compared to the daily needs of a woman (2,300 calories).

About 10% of calories should come from protein, 35% from fat and 55% from carbohydrates. Weight gained during pregnancy depend heavily on initial weight mamicii. It is recommended not to exceed an additional 13 kg, but it is important that there is no caloric restriction, since it is essential to normal fetal development.

Generally, in the first trimester, the mother gain weight from 1.5 to 4 kilograms.
But is not right! In the second half, she must gain weight more than a pound a week. If pregnancy is twins, the recommendations are 1,350 grams per week (a total of 15 to 20 pounds throughout the pregnancy).
